The temporary ceasefire between the Afghan government and the Taliban in June gave Afghans a taste of life without fear of suicide attacks.
In the weeks following the ceasefire -- from Kabul to Herat, Ghazni, Kandahar, Balkh and Nangarhar provinces -- men and women have been going about their daily lives at work in the fields or in the cities with hopes for lasting peace.
As relative calm settles over parts of the country, children tend to their animals, study and play together.
Meanwhile, labourers, shop keepers and artisans continue their work, hoping for greater stability and a stronger economy.
Excellent!
