KUNDUZ, Afghanistan -- Fierce fighting was reported between Taliban militants and security forces in Kunduz city recently, media reported October 3.
The Taliban attacked Kunduz city from four direction the night of October 2-3, but troops pushed them back, the Afghan Ministry of Interior (MoI) said, adding that one policeman was killed in fighting so far, according to TOLO News.
The Afghan air force has bombed Taliban strongholds on the outskirts of Kunduz city, local officials confirmed October 3.
