Afghan border police learn about border security

ASHGABAT -- Thirteen Afghan border police officers completed a September 26-30 training course in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) said in a statement.

The OSCE and the UN Development Programme-implemented Border Management Northern Afghanistan project organised the "executive general patrol course", which taught the Afghans about "the types and forms of topographical maps with the aim of improving their professional capabilities". Another topic for the seminar was gender awareness.
