KABUL -- An explosion in Kabul killed a traffic policeman and wounded two civilians, while security forces foiled a terrorist plot by seizing a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Nimroz province, officials said.
The bomb blast took place in the Kart-i-Naw Market area when a magnetic bomb attached to a traffic police vehicle exploded late October 13, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said.
Meanwhile, security forces confiscated at least 50 rockets and 10 mortar rounds in Chahar Borjak District of Nimrod province October 13. The militants were planning to use them for a series of attacks in the province, MoI said, according to Khaama Press.
