Tajikistan provides humanitarian aid to victims in Kunduz

BADAKHSHAN PROVINCE -- Tajikistan is providing humanitarian aid to 35 Afghan families who were affected by armed clashes in Kunduz city and fled to Badakhshan Province, Avesta.tj reported on October 20.

The Consulate of Tajikistan in Fayzabad provided aid to dozens of Afghan families. Consul General Umed Nazarov provided the aid in Badakhshan Province.

On the night of October 3, the Taliban attacked Kunduz city, surrounding it on all sides. Taliban militants reached the city centre but were driven out of the city by Afghan state forces.
