KUNDUZ, Afghanistan -- A 10-member militant group joined the peace process in Kunduz Province, while troops killed six Taliban in Ghazni Province, officials said Monday (January 9) according to Khaama Press.
The surrendering group was active in Kunduz city, provincial police chief Gen. Abdul Hamid Hamidi said.
He urged other militant groups to join the peace process.
In fighting in Ab Band District, Ghazni Province, troops killed a Taliban commander and his five companions, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said.
