KABUL -- Afghan forces killed 53 militants nationwide in a 24-hour period, the Ministry of Defence said Friday (January 20), according to Pajhwok Afghan News.
The dead included members of the Haqqani Network, "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) and the Taliban.
Troops killed 21 Haqqani Network and ISIL members in Zabul Province.
