Afghan air strike kills 21 ISIL members in Zabul

ZABUL, Afghanistan -- At least 21 members of the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) were among 62 militants killed in fighting across Afghanistan, officials said Monday (January 23).

An Afghan Air Force strike killed the 21 ISIL members in Zabul Province, the provincial police confirmed, according to Khaama Press.

Troops killed at least 41 more militants in a 24-hour span in multiple provinces, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said Sunday (January 22), according to Khaama Press.
