QALAT, Afghanistan -- A third day of Afghan air force sorties killed at least 37 more militants in Zabul Province, Khaama Press reported Wednesday (January 25).
The air strikes killed at least 36 "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) members in two districts and a 37th militant in a third district, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said in a statement.
At least 52 militants have been killed since Afghan troops began conducting Operation Shafaq 2 in the province the night of Sunday (January 22).
