KABUL -- Afghan forces arrested four suspected kidnappers and seven suspected drug peddlers, officials said, according to Afghanistan Times.
The National Directorate of Security (NDS) nabbed the suspected kidnappers in Sheberghan, Jawzjan Province, the NDS said Wednesday (January 25).
The detainees confessed to taking ransom in exchange for a kidnapped schoolchild, the NDS said.
Meanwhile, the Counter Narcotics Police (CNP) arrested seven suspected drug peddlers in six provinces in the past week, the CNP said in a statement.
The CNP reported seizing more than 65.1kg of heroin, 44kg of opium and various amounts of other drugs in the same period.
