BADAKHSHAN, Afghanistan -- The Taliban reportedly killed a pregnant woman and a girl in separate incidents in Badakhshan Province last week, Khaama Press reported Thursday (February 2).
Militants killed the pregnant woman Tuesday (January 31) at her father's house, provincial governor's spokesman Ahmad Navid Frotan said. It might have been an "honour killing", according to Khaama Press.
Militants Wednesday (February 1) in Khambel Yaftal village fatally shot a girl in front of her family after the family rejected a Taliban leader's marriage proposal to her, the provincial government said in a statement.
