KABUL -- Afghan troops killed at least 23 "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant"(ISIL) militants in Zabul and Nangarhar provinces, Khaama Press reported Friday (March 3).
Afghan special forces destroyed two ISIL hide-outs in Arghandab District, Zabul Province, Thursday (March 2), killing 17 ISIL militants, said Ministry of Defence spokesman Dawlat Waziri.
An air strike in Lalpur District, Nangarhar Province, killed six more ISIL members, he said.
