BADAKHSHAN, Afghanistan -- The Taliban stoned a Badakhshan woman to death after accusing her of adultery, Khaama Press reported Thursday (March 9).
The incident took place in Warduj District, confirmed district chief Dawlat Mohammad Khawar. The Taliban flogged the accused man in the case, he added.
Militants have killed five women in the province for offending the militants' sense of "morality" in the past two years, including two in February, according to Khaama Press.
