LAGHMAN, Afghanistan -- Afghan troops killed almost 70 Taliban in Laghman Province, Khaama Press reported Monday (March 13).
Various forces launched the joint operation after the Taliban stormed the province, said the provincial government press office, adding that security forces forced the Taliban to flee.
A number of Taliban commanders were killed, according to the statement. They included Abdul Wali, who was killed in Alishen District Saturday (March 11), according to the Laghman government.
Four troops were killed.
