HERAT -- A group of 25 militants surrendered to authorities in Herat Province, local officials said Wednesday (April 26), TOLO News reported.
The group led by Mullah Paigul had fought government forces for 20 days, said provincial Governor Syed Anwar Sadat.
The militants have committed to joining the peace process, he said.
