TALOQAN -- Security forces killed at least 67 militants in Takhar Province and cleared a district of the insurgents, said police, according to Pajhwok Afghan News.
The troops drove the Taliban out of Khwaja Bahauddin District and 20 villages outside the district, provincial police told Pajhwok Afghan News Thursday (May 4).
They also cleared land mines planted on the highway between Khwaja Bahauddin and Darqad, said police.
