35 Taliban killed across Afghanistan

HERAT -- At least 35 Taliban members were killed across Afghanistan in the past few days, media report.

Troops killed 15 Taliban in Adarskan District, Herat Province, in the past three days, including two commanders and the district's shadow Taliban chief, provincial governor's spokesman Jilani Farhad said Wednesday (May 10), according to Pajhwok Afghan News.

Troops killed the shadow Taliban chief of Khogyani District, Nangarhar Province, in an operation there, according to the provincial government press office, the Afghanistan Times reported Wednesday.

A roadside bomb and combat with Afghan forces killed 19 Taliban in Kandahar Province, said officials Wednesday (May 10).

A roadside bomb killed 11 insurgents riding a vehicle in Maiwand District Tuesday (May 9), according to the provincial government, Khaama Press reported.

Police killed eight Taliban who attacked their outposts in Ghorak District, Kandahar police told Pajhwok Afghan News Wednesday.
