Taliban commander killed in Logar

KABUL -- Troops fighting in Logar and Nangarhar provinces killed a Taliban commander and nabbed two militants, said officials.

Troops carrying out an operation in Charkh District, Logar Province, Tuesday (May 30) killed the commander, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a statement Wednesday (May 31).

The dead commander used to help plot suicide attacks on troops, said the MoI, according to Afghanistan Times.
