KABUL -- A newly established organisation of Afghan youths Monday (June 19) announced plans to initiate peace talks with militants after Eid ul Fitr, reported Pajhwok Afghan News.
Azizullah Fazli, the head of Jirga-I-Waqeye Sulh (Real Peace Council [RPC]), said in Kabul that a five-member RPC delegation is ready to negotiate with the Taliban in a southern province like Paktia, Helmand, Uruzgan or Farah.
The group lacks political affiliations and seeks peace because youths are the main victims of violence nationwide, he said.
