Multiple explosions kill at least 11 Afghans in 3 provinces

KABUL -- At least 10 civilians and a senior security official were killed in explosions in Kabul, Farah and Kandahar, media reported.

A woman and child were killed Wednesday (July 5) when a rocket struck their house in Kabul, said officials, according to AFP. TOLO News, though, identified the dead as two children.

A roadside bomb in Pusht Rod District, Farah Province, Monday (July 3) killed four members of a single family, including two women, said provincial police, according to the Afghanistan Times.

Four civilians including two women were killed by another roadside bomb in Khakrez District, Kandahar Province, provincial police told Pajhwok Afghan News Monday (July 3).

A car bomb killed the chief of the Parwan Province criminal investigation department Monday (July 3) in Kabul, Khaama Press reported.

The bomb was magnetically attached to the man's vehicle, according to Parwan police.
