KABUL -- Afghanistan will double the number of its special forces personnel to fight militancy, Defence Minister Tariq Shah Bahrami said in Kabul Tuesady (July 4) according to Afghanistan Times. He did not give a schedule for doubling that cohort.
The army's special forces have been successful in fighting militants nationwide, he said.
The military's top priorities are to equip and develop the army and to strengthen the air force in the next four-year plan, he added.
