TIRIN KOT -- An Afghan air strike in Tirin Kot, Uruzgan Province, killed at least 18 Taliban insurgents, according to Pajhwok Afghan News.
The air strike occurred late Wednesday (July 5), according to provincial police, who said that the strike foiled militants' plans to attack outposts in the vicinity.
