KABUL -- The Afghan attorney general's office Wednesday (July 12) confirmed bringing charges against First Vice President General Abdul Rashid Dostum after a political rival accused his guards of rape, TOLO News reported.
Ahmad Eshchi last year claimed that Dostum's guards, carrying out their boss's orders, kidnapped him in northern Afghanistan and raped and tortured him.
Dostum, claiming ill health, went to Turkey almost two months ago.
