HELMAND -- Taliban militants in Helmand Province brutally killed an 85-year-old woman whom they falsely accused of collaborating with the government, BBC Persian reported Thursday (November 2).
Insurgents kidnapped her at a market in Garmsir District a few days ago, said Omar Zwak, a provincial government spokesman.
The militants chopped off her limbs before shooting her. She had no ties to the government, said Zwak.
The Taliban had no comment.
