PARWAN -- The deputy director of the Parwan Province Education Department was killed in a bombing Tuesday (November 14), Pajhwok Afghan News reported, citing local officials.
The bomb exploded at about 11:00pm near Charikar District, wounding provincial education director Zalmai Shaheed and killing his deputy Atta Mohammad Matin, police said.
A magnetic improvised explosive device (IED) was attached to their vehicle, said officials.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
