HERAT -- Afghan air strikes on Taliban hideouts in Herat Province have killed or wounded dozens of militants, Khaama Press reported Wednesday (November 15).
The air strikes took place during a 24-hour span in Shindand District, killing 50 militants and wounding 42 others, the Afghan Ministry of Defence (MoD) said in a statement Wednesday (November 15).
The dead included a local Taliban leader, Rasool, said the statement.
The Taliban had no immediate comment.
