SAMANGAN -- Operatives from the National Directorate of Security (NDS) have thwarted two potential terrorist attacks in Samangan Province, Pajhwok Afghan News reported Tuesday (December 5).
NDS operatives seized an explosives-laden vehicle in Dara-e-Sof Payan District that the Taliban intended to use, said Muhammad Sediq Azizi, spokesman for the Samangan governor.
Separately, troops defused two land mines in Aibak city.
Two individuals were arrested in connection with charges linked to the incidents, Azizi said.
