MAIDAN WARDAK -- Afghan security forces have found a major medical treatment centre used by the Taliban in central Maidan Wardak Province, Khaama Press reported Friday (December 8).
The facility was discovered during a military operation in Syedabad District on Thursday (December 7), provincial police said in a statement.
Several insurgents, including some of their commanders, were killed during the operation. Security forces also seized weapons and ammunition, said officials.
The facility was used to treat Taliban militants from a number of areas where there is active fighting, including Paktia and Ghazni provinces.
There was no immediate comment from the Taliban.
