Taliban militants kill 2 police officers in Baghdis, including district chief

BADGHIS -- Taliban militants have killed the police chief of Ab Kamari District and another officer in an ambush in Badghis Province Sunday (December 17), TOLOnews reported Monday (December 18).

The Taliban initially attacked a police post Sunday. The militants then ambushed reinforcements racing to the scene.

Abdul Rasoul, the district police chief, and another policeman were killed in the ambush, said Abdul Raouf Taj, the provincial chief of police.

Two other police officers were wounded.
