HELMAND -- Afghan air and ground operations have killed 17 Taliban militants in Helmand Province, the provincial government media office said on Facebook Wednesday (December 20).
The operations targeted Taliban strongholds in Nad-e-Ali District, the statement said.
Afghan forces confiscated weapons including two AK-47s, three rocket launders and six vehicles belonging to the Taliban.
There were no civilian casualties, officials said.
The Taliban had no immediate comment.
