Joint air strikes in Nangarhar kill 60 ISIS fighters

NANGARHAR -- Afghan and coalition air strikes in Nangarhar Province have killed at least 60 members of the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) terrorist group, said the provincial governor's office on Facebook Tuesday (January 2).

The air strikes took place Monday (January 1) in Haska Mina District, the statement said.

Afghan forces destroyed several terrorist weapons as well as ammunition, said the statement.
