JAWZJAN -- Afghan and coalition air forces have killed at least 26 members of the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) group in Jawzjan Province, TOLOnews reported Tuesday (January 2), citing local officials.
The joint air strike hit a meeting of ISIS fighters Monday (January 1) in Darzab District, said local officials.
The dead militants included "key commanders", four Frenchmen and three Uzbekistanis, said Faqir Mohammad Jawzjani, the provincial police chief.
