NANGARHAR -- At least three members of the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) terrorist group were killed in an explosion in Nangarhar Province, Khaama Press reported Tuesday (January 9).

An improvised explosive device (IED) that the terrorists were planting detonated prematurely late Sunday (January 7) in Achin District, said local officials.

In December, a senior leader of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was killed by his own explosives in Kunar Province.
