GHAZNI -- Seven members of a family were killed and two others wounded after a Taliban rocket hit a house in Ghazni Province, the provincial police headquarters said in a statement Friday (January 26).
The incident took place in Qara Baghi village on the outskirts of Ghazni city, said the statement.
Taliban militants fired the rocket to distract Afghan troops carrying out operations in the area, said the statement.
The Taliban denied responsibility.
