Security forces kill 2 Taliban militants in Badakhshan

BADAKHSHAN -- Afghan forces killed at least two Taliban militants and wounded six others in Badakhshan Province, according to a statement on Facebook from the 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan National Army Tuesday (February 13).

The militants sustained the casualties during artillery strikes and combat with Afghan forces in Jurum District Tuesday, according to the statement.

One of those killed was Tajik, it added.

The Taliban had no immediate comment.
