KABUL -- President Ashraf Ghani Thursday (March 1) commended Afghan forces for their commitment and bravery, marking Afghan National Defence and Security Forces (ANDSF) Day, TOLOnews reported.
ANDSF Day, held on February 28 each year, first took place in 2017.
The country's security agencies have established unprecedented co-ordination, Ghani told security personnel in a Kabul speech Thursday.
"You, the honest sons of this country, succeeded in ensuring Afghanistan’s preservation. Today, brothers and sisters, the preservation of Afghanistan is not in doubt," Ghani said.
"We will succeed on the battlefield and in peace," he said, as quoted by a statement from the Afghan Presidential Palace.
