KABUL -- National Directorate of Security (NDS) operatives arrested two suspected senior members of the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) in a raid in Kabul, TOLOnews reported Sunday (March 4).

The arrests are a major blow to ISIS, according to NDS officials.

The two suspects, identified as Omar and Ehsanullah, are accused of being the terror group's chief of operations and recruiter, respectively, in Kabul.

The two were allegedly involved in a deadly attack on the Imam Zaman mosque last August.

Security forces had been searching for the pair for the past four months, according to the NDS.
