Security forces arrest 5 Haqqani Network suspects in Maidan Wardak

KABUL -- Afghan special operations police arrested five suspected members of the Haqqani Network during an operation Saturday (March 10) in Maidan Wardak Province, according to a statement from the Afghan Interior Ministry Sunday (March 11).

Security forces arrested two suspected commanders identified as Obaidullah and Abdul Haq during the overnight operation in the Tangi Wardak area, according to the statement.

One suspect believed to be a bomb-maker was killed, the statement added.
