Air strikes in Kunar, Nangarhar kill 11 ISIS militants

NANGARHAR -- Air strikes in Nangarhar and Kunar provinces killed at least 11 members of the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS), local news reported Friday (March 16).

The Afghan air force struck an ISIS hideout in Achin District, Nangarhar province, Thursday (March 15), killing seven terrorists, said provincial police, according to Pajhwok Afghan News.

Separately, a coalition air strike killed four ISIS militants in Kunar Province, Khaama Press reported, quoting the 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan National Army.

The air strike hit Manogi District, said the corps Thursday.
