LASHKARGAH -- Afghan security forces foiled a potential bombing in Lashkargah, Helmand Province, Khaama Press reported Wednesday (April 4).
Intelligence personnel discovered a motorcycle packed with explosives at a currency exchange market in the 7th police district, according to local officials.
The militants were targeting a crowded part of town, officials said.
The latest incident comes after a suicide bomber killed at least 16 people outside a sport stadium in Lashkargah on March 23, prompting on-going protests against Taliban violence.
