Security forces arrest suspected ISIS financier in Nangarhar

NANGARHAR -- The special forces of Afghanistan's National Directorate of Security (NDS) arrested a suspected key leader of the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) in Nangarhar Province, the provincial government media office said in a statement Tuesday (May 8).

The suspect, identified as Jawid, was responsible for collecting funds for the terror group throughout the province, said the statement.

Jawid had been recently appointed to the position, it added.
