KABUL -- Security forces arrested two senior members of the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) terrorist group in Nangarhar Province, the Interior Ministry said in a statement Tuesday (July 17).
The operation took place in Momand Dara District, said the statement. The date of the operation was not disclosed.
The ISIS deputy shadow governor for Momand Dara District, Haji Rohullah (also known as Khamosh), was among those arrested, it added.
