Coalition air strike kills 6 ISIS members in Nangarhar

LAGHMAN -- A coalition air strike killed at least six members of the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS)'s Khorasan branch, including their commander, in Nangarhar Province Wednesday (August 29), the 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement.

The incident took place in the Wazir Tangi area of Khogyani District, according to the Thursday (August 30) statement.

The dead included ISIS's local commander, Yasar Khurasani, said the statement.

The air strike also destroyed terrorist weapons and ammunition, said officials.
