FARYAB -- An air strike targeting a Taliban leader's compound in Faryab Province left at least 13 militants dead and a number of others wounded, Khaama Press reported Thursday (September 6).
The air strike, which occurred in Shirin Tagab District, destroyed a facility used by the Taliban leader Qari Rahmatullah, according to Khaama Press, citing a statement by the Afghan National Army's 209th Shaheen Corps.
In a separate clash with Afghan security forces, at least 7 militants were killed in Qaisar District, the statement added.
At least two Afghan soldiers were injured in the Qaisar battle.
