HELMAND -- A blast in a vehicle injured at least three civilians Thursday (September 13) in Lashkargah, Helmand Province, Helmand's provincial media office said in a statement.
The incident took place near Peace Square in Lashkargah, said the Thursday statement. Officials did not immediately say what triggered the explosion.
Local authorities have launched an investigation, according to the statement.
No group has claimed responsibility yet.
