GARDEZ -- Afghan and coalition forces killed or wounded at least 47 militants during two separate operations in Khost and Maidan Wardak provinces, the 203rd Thunder Corps of the Afghan National Army (ANA) said in a statement Tuesday (September 18).
Afghan forces launched ground and aerial operations in Jalrez District, Maidan Wardak, killing at least 30 militants and wounding 8 others, read the statement.
The troops destroyed two Humvees that the militants had seized.
Separately, a coalition air strike killed at least four terrorists in Nader Shah Kot District, Khost Province, the statement said.
It provided no further details on the timing of the operations.
