JALALABAD -- A coalition air strike targeted a hideout of the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) in Nangarhar Province, killing at least four militants, Pajhwok Afghan News reported Thursday (September 20), citing an Afghan military official.

The strike occurred in Haska Mina District Wednesday (September 19), said Maj. Mohammad Haroon Yousafzai, spokesperson of the 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan National Army.

The dead included the militants' leader, Yousafzai said.

The strike follows a series of clearance operations conducted recently by Afghan forces against ISIS and Taliban militants in the province.
