GHAZNI -- President Ashraf Ghani visited Ghazni Province Thursday (September 27) for the second time to review the security conditions in the province, his office said in a statement Thursday.

Ghani travelled to the province August 17 after the Taliban militants stormed Ghazni city, the provincial capital, and briefly took control of some parts of the city.

First Lady Rula Ghazni accompanied him on his latest trip to the province, said the statement.

Meanwhile, three rockets hit Ghazni city Thursday as Ghani discussed the security situation with local officials, AFP reported.

No one was killed or wounded, provincial deputy police chief Ramazan Ali Mohsini told AFP.

"It was far from the governor's office," said Haroon Chakhansuri, a spokesman for the president, referring to the site of Ghani's meeting.

Nobody immediately claimed responsibility for the assault.
