KABUL -- National Directorate of Security (NDS) personnel arrested two suspected members of the Haqqani Network, Khaama Press reported Sunday (September 30), citing an undated statement from NDS.
The militants were arrested in the 3rd Police District before they could carry out attacks in the 9th Police District, NDS said in the statement. It did not give the date of the arrest.
NDS officials identified the suspects as Feroz Kochi and Rafiullah.
The detainees were trained in Akora Khattak, Pakistan, the statement said, adding that a Haqqani Network commander sent them to Kabul to plot violence.
