MAZAR-E-SHARIF -- Afghan commandos killed at least 13 Taliban militants and wounded seven others during an operation in Dasht-i-Archi District, Kunduz Province, the 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement Wednesday (November 21).
The clearance operation, which had air support, began in the Qurloq area in the district Tuesday (November 20) and is still under way, said the statement.
Troops discovered six anti-personnel land mines during the operation and blew them up, the statement added.
